July 17: Celebrate the Summer Season in Provence

Ambiance Vins and Chabichou present the next in the tasting series The Grape and the Milk. Join us on Thursday July 17th from 7:30-9:30pm at Chabichou Fine Foods (196 Borden Street) to savour the tastes of Provencal wines and cheeses. Your hosts are sommelier Igal Amsallem and cheese master Charles Bougouin.

  • Casual tasting of wines and cheeses from southern France
  • Selection of delicious Rosés de Provence
  • Platters of spécialités de Provence

July 9: A Rare Bourbon Tasting

Discover and taste some of the most sought after bourbon whiskies with Ambiance Vins’ whisky expert Igal Amsallem. The tasting will take place on Wednesday July 9th from 7:00-9:00pm at The Vintage Conservatory (100 Lombard Street, Toronto)

With this tasting event, Ambiance Vins and Chabichou will take you to a beautiful gastronomic trip through Spain: Penedès, Rioja, Rueda and other regions to be explored.

Discover the amazing Wine and Cheese Spanish patrimony through an interactive presentation and a tasting with your hosts, two passionate French fellows, Certified Sommelier Igal Amsallem and Maître Fromager, Charles Bougouin. Learn the secrets of the best wine & cheese pairings.

A selection of 5 wines paired with an individual platter of 5 regional cheeses and charcuteries will be offered.

A great fiesta of flavours and aromas is waiting for you and don’t miss this great occasion to spend a nice and relaxing moment in learning and discovering amazing products and specialties from the Spanish terroir!

May 5: Grape and Milk Travels to Jura and Savoie

Chabichou Fine Foods

Join us on Monday May 5 from 7:30-9:00pm at Chabichou Fine Foods (196 Borden Street in Harbord Village) as we explore the wines and cheeses of the Jura and Savoie regions of France. Led by sommelier Igal Amsallem of Ambiance Vins and Chabichou cheese master Charles Bougouin, these classes are limited to 20 people so you get personal attention as well as good sample sizes. The wines to be sampled include:

  • Côtes du Jura
  • Arbois
  • Roussette de Savoie
  • Apremont

These will be paired with fine cheeses from both regions. A mystery wine and cheese will be also featured.

In addition, an assortment of charcuteries will be offered as well as baskets of freshly sliced baguettes. There will also be a bonus mystery wine and cheese to discover. But hurry and reserve your seats, because they are going fast!

Ambiance Vins is pleased to announce that in partnership with Chabichou Fine Foods, we are presenting a new tasting series, The Grape and the Milk, to be held twice a month at the Chabichou store (196 Borden Street, in Harbord Village). The tastings will be led by Ambiance Vins sommelier Igal Amsallem and Chabichou’s cheese master Charles Bougouin. We will discover France, Italy, and Spain through their wine and cheese heritage and culture. All wine and cheese enthusiasts are invited!

  • Each session is limited to 20 participants
  • Admission is $45 per person, all taxes and fees included. First booked, first served.
  • Sessions will take place from 7:30-9:00pm
